2011年にテレビ放送された幾原邦彦監督によるオリジナルアニメ「輪（まわ）るピングドラム」のテレビシリーズ全24話を再構築し、新作パートを追加して前後編で劇場公開する2部作の後編。高倉家の双子の兄弟・冠葉と晶馬が病気の妹・陽毬の命を救うために謎の「ピングドラム」を探す物語を描きつつ、新作パートには子どもの姿の冠葉と晶馬が登場し、プリンセス・オブ・ザ・クリスタルに似た衣装をまとった荻野目桃果や、新キャラクターである謎の赤ちゃんペンギン・プリンチュペンギンと出会う。さらに実写映像などの新たな要素も加わり、テレビシリーズとは異なる視点で物語を描き出す。。傅家千金雨彤惨遭负心人抛弃，四个哥哥霸气护妹，最终女主找到了属于自己的幸福。U.S. version of the British show 'Love Island' where a group of singles come to stay in a villa for a few weeks and have to couple up with one another.
