纪录电影《舌尖上的新年》透过中国各式各样奇绝的年货食物，将一个个新年故事串联起来，带观众重寻年味儿。电影由《舌尖上的中国》总导演陈晓卿任艺术总监，沈宏非、蔡澜、陈立任美食顾问，导演、摄影、作曲、解说全部是《舌尖上的中国》原班人马。。于三尺厨房，尝人生百味，《厨房里有哲学家》是CCTV-9原创精品纪录片，讲述了四位中餐主厨的故事。他们是：朗泮轩主厨，来自美国的罗朗（Michael David Rosenblum）；蚝门九式创始人，“蚝爷”陈汉宗；Linglong主厨，来自台北的刘禾森（Jason Liu）；四川饭店第三代掌门人，来自东京的陈建太郎（Chen Kentaro）。。Thien Bao and Dinh Huy accidentally met on a blind date when Huy was hired to be the lover of a girl who came to force Bao to refuse the arranged marriage between him and that girl.
