农村女孩麦穗受到当过画工的父亲影响，从小热爱画画，由于父亲摔伤了腿，家里因病返贫，麦穗决定休学，进城务工。在忙于生计的同时，麦穗仍坚持自己的艺术梦想，利用业余时间学习绘画。经历了一系列的坎坷后学有所成，她毅然回到家乡开设绘画馆，教留守儿童学习户县农民画。回到家乡的麦穗，深深地觉得未来在希望的田野上，也感受到了新农村建设给家乡带来的发展进步。。In 1966 the Spanish Army built a huge cemetery with over 5000 graves at Mirandilla Valley in Burgos for the final sequence in the film "The Good the Bad and the Ugly". After the shooting, the whole place was left behind and for 49 years, nature covered every tomb.
