从元、明、清三朝的京城版图上我们可以看到这座皇城历史的微妙变化，但不管怎么变，它依然是一个由城门和坊组成的奇妙世界。然而我们在翻看现在的北京地图时，却再也找不到这种名叫“坊”的古老地标建筑。一位执着追寻的古建专家，二十年以来，只为找回这种消失已久的地标建筑，和发生在它们身边的传奇故事。它们到底能否见证这座皇城历史的变化？我们追寻的目标到底还有多远呢？。Previously acclaimed for his essayistic documentaries, Philip Scheffner has now ventured into fiction.
