She is later found murdered and there is no trace of the ring, which turns out to be part of a cache of jewelry stolen by the Nazis during World War II and smuggled out of France after the wary by an American army colonel. The private eye decides to try to find the ring, ...。故事发生在父亲邱领邦 (郑少秋) ，其妻因难产而死，留下一子邱南生 (周世英) ， 故父甚疼爱，父子感情融洽。领邦英俊倜傥，很多少女对之仰慕，奈何他无意续弦，引来不少风流韵事。领邦家里有个诸事丁管家婆 (苏杏璇) ，她样样都管，经常催促领邦结婚，闹出很多趣事。在公司里，领邦碰上三个很「怪」的职员，各有各的个性，令领邦碰到很多「翳气」的事情。南生虽年纪细小，但已懂得很多事，欢喜时助领邦一臂之力，不高兴时则破坏之，常弄得父亲啼笑皆非。。
